Becoming a CCA


Who should be certified?
Any adviser/consultant that spends the majority of their time advising growers on agronomic practices and can meet the standards of the program.

Steps to Certification:


Transferring CCA Certification to Minnesota:
If you are a CCA currently certified in North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin and wish to transfer your certification to Minnesota, you may be eligible to do so without being required to take the local Minnesota exam. If you are currently certified in a state other than the ones listed above, you will be required to take the local Minnesota exam. Driving Directions
  • From the North: Follow Hwy 71/23 to Business 71. Turn right at 26th Avenue NE (Eagle Creek Golf Course). Follow to 1st Street N, take a left. Turn right on 15th Avenue, the college is about 1 1/4 miles east on the left.
  • From the South: Follow Business 71 north into Willmar. Turn left on 19th Avenue (stop lights). Follow to County Road 5, turn right. Follow County Road 5 to 15th Avenue NW and turn right. The college is about 1/2 mile west on the right.
  • From the East or West Take US Hwy 12 to County Road 5 (30th Street NW) and turn north. Follow to 15th Avenue NW and turn right. The college is about 1/2 mile west on the right.

E-West and F-West (student parking) are the best locations for parking. You may not park in staff parking areas (G-West).
